Who are we?

Some of you are already aware that there has been a big shake up regarding Safety and Security in our little suburb. Over the past 3 years, we have started up a Milnerton Ridge Facebook page, established Whatsapp Social and Security Groups and communicated via various other means, such as informal neighbourhood meetings, e-mails from Crimewatch & the Rates Payers Association, and word of mouth.

Our aim is to reach as many residents as possible to get everyone on board the revitalized Milnerton Ridge Neighborhood Watch. We now have a team of 6 committed individuals who have pledged some of their valuable personal time for the greater good of our community.

The groundwork has been established – all we need is YOU!

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

  • Neighbourhood Watch does NOT mean that you have to patrol.
  • Neighbourhood Watch does mean that we want you to watch out for your neighbours.
  • Neighborhood Watch will help us to unify the neighborhood to ensure safety for us all, and to let all criminals – even those that may live among us – know that we will not tolerate their presence.

WHAT’S NEXT?

We ask that ALL households who have not yet done so, please register with the Neighbourhood Watch. Register Online Here.

We have introduced a small cost, which is limited to R10 per vehicle, for an identification sticker, as well as R50 for a NW house sign.

These modes of identification will assist us all by

  • making criminal elements aware that we are working together as a neighbourhood and,
  • Helping residents and our service providers identify those vehicles that do or don’t belong in the area.
